Hemerocallis comprises a diverse number of highly hybridized cultivars of plants that have long, spear- or grass-like arching foliage, and sturdy stems on which multiple trumpet-like blossoms form, each lasting only one day before shriveling. Deer will eat both the foliage and the blossoms of Hemerocallis unless provided protection.
