'Golden Fleece' forms small, somewhat tangled, low-growing mounds of short, lance-shaped foliage from which arching panicles of almost bottle-brush-like panicles of bright yellow flowers appear in September. It is suitable as a slow-spreading front-of-the-border groundcover with tremendous fall interest. Deer may browse it, but it is not one of their favorites.
