Solidago flexicaulis

Zigzag Goldenrod is an upright, plant with serrated ovate leaves on stems that are topped with clusters of yellow flowers in September. It will spread readily via rhizomatous roots to fill a space. The stems are flimsy, but when planted in masses, plants do not require staking. A good selection for a mid-border plant with fall color. Deer will browse it unless precautions are taken.
