‘Variegatum’ is a variegated form of the species plant. It features arching stems of ovate green leaves with white edges on dark stems. Cute, little white bell-shaped flowers dangle from arching stems in late May. Foliage remains attractive throughout the season. Spreads vigorously to form large stands, so you will be able to dig up offsets each season to give away to friends. This is another good plant for the “black thumb” gardener. Deer won’t eat Polygonatum, as it is mildly toxic.
