Geranium βBiokovoβ spreads to form a carpet-like ground cover of basal foliage above which many showy pinkish-white flowers wave. The foliage has a pleasantly intense floral scent when touched or rubbed. Over time, old growth blooms less vigorously. To refresh blooming, apply slow-release fertilizer (e.g., Osmocote) every few years. The guides say this is a zone 5 plant, but we have never had any dieback of this plant over many Central New York winters. Indeed, it will spread vigorously to fill an area if desired. Deer donβt appear to like it.
