(Hardy Geranium)

Rating: 🌻🌻🌻

Light: ☀️⛅

Deer resistant: yes 🦌

Moisture: not fussy

Bloom: Showy 1” pinkish-white flowers with protruding pink stamens in late June

Size: 8” H x 18” W

Hardiness zone: 5

Geranium ‘Biokovo’ spreads to form a carpet-like ground cover of basal foliage above which many showy pinkish-white flowers wave. The foliage has a pleasantly intense floral scent when touched or rubbed. Over time, old growth blooms less vigorously, so dividing may be helpful to promote good bloom. The guides say this is a zone 5 plant, but we have never had any dieback of this plant over many Central New York winters. Deer don’t appear to like it.
