Coreopsis verticillata 'Zagreb'

Coreopsis verticillata ‘Zagreb’ is a vigorous plant with threadlike leaves that is topped with scads of bright yellow flowers in early July. It will quickly form large, dense stands, spreading from rhizomatous roots. It is very tolerant of dry periods. Deer never bother it. If you have a little of this, you will soon have a lot and can give it away to friends. That’s how we got our original plant, which has populated several stands in our garden. If it wasn’t so "vigorous," it would be a 5-flower-rated plant.
