Brunnera ‘Alexander's Great' is similar to 'Jack Frost' but larger. It’ sports very large 10-12 inch, heart-shaped, silvery leaves with detailed darker green veining. In late May to early June, sprays of blue forget-me-not-like flowers emerge on stalks that rise and wave above the foliage. In Central New York, the foliage remains attractive throughout the growing season. All of our Brunnera are planted in and thrive in full shade, under trees or in more exposed sites in open shade. Deer have never bothered Brunnera in our garden.
