Aruncus 'Chantilly Lace' is a smaller cultivar of Aruncus with small, fineley dissected Astilbe-like foliage. In sun, 'Chantilly Lace' produces smaller leaves whose new growth is reddish, and the plant does not become as large. In more shady conditions, leaves are larger and dark green, and the plant will assume larger proportions. In late June-early July, proliferous plumes of creamy-white flowers wave above the foliage. Prefers a moist location, and like all Aruncus,  it requires no maintenance.  Chantilly Lace is similar to Astilbe in appearance but is slightly more tolerant of dry periods. Deer will browse Aruncus if preventive measures are not taken. This is new for us in 2023.
