Wiegela is a deciduous shrub that forms a rounded mass of foliage that is topped with pinkish funnel-shaped flowers in midsummer. 'Verweig' (also known as 'My Monet') is a dwarf (20" H x 24" W) version that has variegated green, white, and pink foliage. Its flowers are pink. 'Bokraspiwi' (also known as the more pronounceable 'Spilled Wine') has dark purple leaves and hot pink flowers. It is a lightly larger (36" H x 36" W) variety. Wiegelas are new to our garden. We are evaluating them for performance, maintenance, deer resistance.
